MUSIC IS AN IMPORTANT PART OF YOUR EVENT!
Imagine your favorite movie without music! Not very good - is
it?
Without a doubt, the most memorable part of a wedding reception for
most guests is the music, pace, and tone of your reception. Your disc jockey will
figure prominently in the success of your reception.
Based on the National Average, most couples spend about 10% of their
budget on music. If you think about it, music is one of the most important factors of
your event, yet is only 10% of your budget. Most brides and grooms wait until
the last minute to find entertainment, after they've spent all their money on other
reception details.
DISC JOCKEY OR A VEGETABLE PLATTER? - Maybe this is a biased
opinion, but music is perhaps one of the most important elements at your event.
Event after event, people will likely remember the music and dancing long after your
reception is over. However, it's always surprising to see clients spend more on
vegetable platters or finger foods than on the entertainment! Then again, Mom always
did say to eat your vegetables.
If you are looking for a reasonable price from a DJ who will provide you
with personal service, attention to detail, and someone who will actually help you
(especially when planning a wedding reception), then give us a call.
MORE ON WHAT'S INCLUDED!
Planning & consultation meeting included
Especially helpful for wedding receptions! Get the attention you deserve.
Some DJ companies won't meet with you in advance or won't even tell you who your DJ will
be. They only deal with you by phone and/or email. Many clients prefer to know who they'll
be working with. I am willing to meet with you and help you work out a timeline of events,
review many reception details if you're having a wedding, and listen to your needs. Of
course, if your schedule doesnt permit, then we can work out the details by phone or
email.
Emcee duties
I will help you move things along smoothly. I'll work with you throughout
the evening and be flexible if and when necessary (we can make announcements made to move
your event along and keep things running as smoothly as possible). If you have your own
emcee, I'll gladly work with that person.
Wide musical variety
Thousands of
songs, all on compact disc for
quality digital sound. Your guests will likely want a wide variety of music to satisfy
their musical tastes. From the oldies & standards, funk and disco, Rock & Roll,
pop, 80s and 90s, ballroom, to today's top 40, we can satisfy most musical tastes. Please
see our music section to get an idea of what we carry.
Party lighting (if requested)
Lights moving and flashing to the beat of the music along with mood lights
for the slow dances. If you want more than basic lights, that will affect your price. Of
course, if you don't want any lights, that's no problem.
Wireless microphone
Some locations are larger and a wireless microphone is a useful item to
have. We can provide you with a wireless microphone with 250' range (handy for speeches,
toasts, ceremonies, etc). Some DJ companies will charge you extra for this. We also bring
corded microphones as backup.
You dont have to guess who your DJ will be
Unlike
some other DJ companies, I don't subcontract your event out
to another DJ. You don't have to guess who your DJ will be,
or hope that your DJ will know what you need. This is especially
important when planning a wedding. You get the comfort of knowing
that I, DJ GALAXY, will be your DJ from beginning to end. Many
clients prefer knowing the person they're working with, and
having that person readily available by phone and/or email.
Your emails and phone calls will be returned within 24 hours
or less.
Professional DJ equipment
This is more important than most clients realize. All equipment we use is
from reputable companies that manufacture equipment specifically designed for professional
disc jockey use - JBL Stereo Sound Speakers (premium sound speakers that produce full rich
stereo sound without distortion), MTX, Carver, American DJ, and Gemini - We also bring
backup equipment. Buyer Beware: Some disc jockeys don't use professional grade equipment.
This generally results in poorer sound quality.
No Setup/Packing Up Fees
Generally, there are no extra fees incurred for the time spent setting up
or packing up at the end of your event. In rare cases, a fee may be incurred if there are
many stairs involved, or we have to park far away from the site.
ADDITIONAL TERMS & CONDITIONS:
